Matariki (Maori name for the group of stars also known as the The Seven Sisters) is celebrated in Auckland with a 2 week long festival run by the Auckland Council. TKM engaged in a successful pitch process to re-brand the event. The brief was to retain the underlying heritage of Matariki, but give the identity a bold and contemporary festival feel.
